I posted last week about things you should know as per Google guidelines before hiring an SEO. However I had this strong feeling that you may miss these questions you should ask before hiring a competent SEO. See, I care for you so much that I just can’t let you waste your time even before you have decided to hire me.

So here is the the Google suggested list of questions you should ask before hiring a competent SEO:

  1. Can you show me examples of your previous work and share some success stories?
  2. Do you follow the Google Webmaster Guidelines?
  3. Do you offer any online marketing services or advice to complement your organic search business?
  4. What kind of results do you expect to see, and in what timeframe? How do you measure your success?
  5. What’s your experience in my industry?
  6. What’s your experience in my country/city?
  7. What’s your experience developing international sites?
  8. What are your most important SEO techniques?
  9. How long have you been in business?
  10. How can I expect to communicate with you? Will you share with me all the changes you make to my site, and provide detailed information about your recommendations and the reasoning behind them?
I know your next obvious question, so how do you fair on these questions SEOMOZO? Stay tuned I will post my answers soon!

Looking to hire an SEO? Well you need to know some basic things about Search Engine Optimization for the fact selecting the right SEO is so very crucial for the success of your website.

Yeah I am suggesting this being a SEO myself for the fact I am practice only ethical SEO and it helps if my prospective clients knew what it takes to optimize a website for search engines and what expectations they should have about results. I wouldn’t however like you to know a bit about SEO if I wanted to make huge money by showing instant results using unethical SEO practices.

The good thing is that Google knows about black hat SEO practices and how people end up losing money with them. So they have also come up with a detailed guide about SEO which you should  must go through:

Google’s SEO Guide for Webmasters/Site Owners

Just started saying Hello to the world of SEO on leading SEO Forums and here is my first post on DigitalPoint SEO Forum and SEOChat SEO Forum. I found these two forums the best around for SEO discussions for the amount of traffic and level of expertise of some very talented SEO experts out there.

Soon I plan to post website review requests for my  website SEOMOZO and hopefully I would get valuable inputs to improve my website. Amazing how well Internet has simplified communication; experts around the world can help improve your website free of cost :)

You could try this as well, ask for website reviews on relevant online communities and see free flow of traffic on your website. Some of them might become your customers as well if they do like your products/services. So time to say hello to your prospective customers online and say thanks to me :)

Keep coming back for more such secrets!
